Tempting, but I’m waiting for the return of the scissors mech keyboard ('https://www.macrumors.com/2019/07/04/apple-to-use-scissor-switch-keyboard-macbooks/'). (In fact, that may be why these discounts are happening.)

Amazon needs to move stock, don't digg no long term storage fees, you feel me. However, buy Apples at Amazon and you don't get covered by original manufacturer warranty. Be sure to top up with Apple Care from Apple.
What are you talking about? You can buy it from any retailer and you still get the 1 year limited warranty.

You’re even covered by the manufacturer warranty if you buy it secondhand from somebody via eBay or Craigslist. I speak from firsthand experience. The warranty is attached to the serial number.

Even if the keyboards were reliable, these prices are stratospheric, even with the discounts.
