We've got packs & all sorts of gear bags from D.P. in our family, some over a century old, and they all see very hard use on long expeditions, thrown out of canoes onto rocky shores, slid down sheer faces, tumbled over shale and scree and rained on, dumped overboard, sat with spoiled & soggy food in them, gnawed on by animals, you name it. Purely utilitarian performance. Everything they make, they still make right in their shop in Duluth, which you can walk right into, and meet the men & women making every piece, and get fresh leather straps when you mangle yours around a truck axle. Everything they build, they build to last centuries, and they support their customers with customizations as desired. Don't like the moose logo, they'll build you a bag without one. First rate products, first rate company. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for and you pay for what you get.

If you're looking for a fashion statement, buy some cheap piece of crap with a 10000% markup from a fashion brand to wear around your city and impress trendy urbanites.

How many think adults over the age of say, 24, shouldn't be wearing backpacks unless they're hiking or camping? This is what occurs to me every time my 40-something year old coworkers throw their overstuffed backpacks on to go the 100 steps from their desks to their cars.
Because any of that matters how again?

No padding, no venting, hideously amateur morphology, and an oversized giant patch of brown in the middle to be sure nobody ever finds this item visually pleasant.

Why would anyone ever intentionally acquire this product? For the most part, it looks like some youth's summer camp craft project.

Duluth packs is made to never fail. If it does, return it and you get a free one. Packs that are nearly a hundred years old have come in for rivot replacement and that's it.
Well, that makes some sense... Bu-ut...,

TLDR: their stuff is made to last for decades, not fall apart after a year or two.
... to my vision, to last not only means not to fall apart, but to look like new or at least stylish after few years of (+/-)everyday use.

I've googled around and found this one on ebay, looks pretty fresh, but take a look at the upper corners... IMHO, this kind of wearing looks unpleasant.

Failed to find PIQUADRO used leather pack, but my brother has one 4~5 y.o., gets older in a more elegant and stylish manner

Thank you for posting this. They sound like a Fantastic Company, who have that (Nowadays) rare quality of caring about their product & their customers.

Nowadays, it is all too easy for a Company to be lumped in with all the Manufacturers who do as you say in your last paragraph, so pointing out the difference makes a difference IMHO
