Others are being approved, they aren't aren't being highlighted by apple.

Perhaps you have Itunes installed?

Having iTunes installed is a prerequisite for links to iTunes.

but the fact is that more than 32 apps should be ready to go on Day 1.

Good thing that's what happened, then.

This seems to be a recurring theme with Apple since Apple was born....

What? Have internet posters completely misread an article and then blame Apple for that?

Yeah, it does seem to be recurring...

Yeah...I hear ya...I'm sure fanboys here will reply/scream "but it's not even released yet!!!!" but the fact is that more than 32 apps should be ready to go on Day 1. Out of the tens of thousands of apps (and yes, I know not all NEED to be retina-quality), we have a whopping 32. I was really expecting at LEAST 100 on launch day of iPad 3.0. This seems to be a recurring theme with Apple since Apple was born....release something new/cool/exciting and have almost nothing 3rd party ready to launch with it. :(

First, you call everyone complaining about your post a "fanboy", so you insult everyone disagreeing with you. If that despicable tactics hadn't been seen time and time again, it might have worked, but it doesn't.

Second, you put up a straw man. That's a well-known logical fallacy, usually employed to convince less clever people that you actually have an argument when you haven't. Nobody screams "but it's not even released yet". What people are saying is that you are either less than clever, or deliberately trying to mislead people, because the number of applications explicitly enhanced for the new iPad isn't 32. That's just the number of apps highlighted by Apple. The actual number is a lot higher. What you are also not saying is that most applications will benefit without releasing any new version at all, because all text, all Apple-provided user interface elements, all vector drawing, all bitmap graphics that has been scaled down, will improve automatically without any work by the developer.

Oh dear........

All you people complaining about lack of apps.... You don't know you are born!

You should have tried living with nothing but a BlackBerry for the past year!

Now THAT has bugger-all apps, and the ones it does have are awful. And don't get me started on the connection issues either! :D

Can't wait for my iPad to arrive- it's my first Apple product! :D :D :D :D :D

That link is misleading - it leads to a "download Itunes" link, not to a page about "The new Ipad" apps.

Your browser must not think iTunes is installed. It loads the appropriate page for everyone else.
