*I’m not one to whine about Apple, like some. I’ve been a huge fan since 2002… But 10.13 is a sh*tshow on my late 2012 iMac.

The version is surprisingly light on fixes. I assume there's a lot of fixes that aren't disclosed.

I was waiting for 10.13.2 to upgrade to High Sierra, but all you folks have scared me to wait for 10.13.3 now...
Then just forget about updating to High Sierra all together. With every release comes the flood of naysayers, doomsday prophets, “what about this” -isms and alleged bugs that are probably only in the minds of those asking about them.

The Internet in general, and MacRumors particularly, greatly inflates the negatives of anything. All the naysaying here is a raindrop in a thunderstorm compared to the millions running High Sierra with little, if any problems... like me for example.

If you listen to the cacophony here you will be afraid to update anything.

One question. Should I update now from 10.12?
You should always be updated to very latest software your system will support. People come up with numerous reasons they can’t or won’t update but none of them hold water. If nothing else security and stability fixes make your system more reliable. But the biggest thing you need to do is start ignoring all the negativity and naysayers who scream and holler in forums like this one. Public forums on the Internet greatly magnify and falsely inflate problems. The old analogy applies. If you walk into a hospital and only see sick people would you assume the entire population is also sick? No you would not. So if you read posts in a public forum and see a number of users reporting similar issues can you jump to the conclusion that everybody has those issues? No, you cannot? Millions of users are running High Sierra without any major issues. Also realize that public forums like this one are anonymous and you don’t have any way of knowing the competence, the situation, and the motives for what someone has posted about software updates.

I was looking for USB devices and got excited for a second then saw the audio. I guess Apple has no time fixing external hdd ejecting when my iMac goes to sleep. When I wake-up my Mac there were like over 10 warnings saying I didn’t eject my hard drive properly. SMH!
